Local Government Networking & Capacity Building Project to Prevent Violence Against Women

Welcome to Our Website

This website was established as part of a pilot project managed by Darebin City Council in partnership with VicHealth, which ended in September 2011.  The project aimed to support local government capacity building and networking activity in the area of preventing violence against women before it occurs.

Many local governments across Victoria have already begun to take on significant leadership roles in the prevention of violence against women.

The Municipal Association of Victoria (the MAV) have received funding from the Office of Women's Policy to support this work to continue.  We encourage you to get involved, share your journey and inspire others.
